catch of the day, 2 identical compact Macs

This is my catch of the day, 2 identical Compact Macs, SE/30’s to be precise. I have this latent imaginary list of stuff I’d like to have and two identical compact Macs were on that too… Two days ago a collegue of mine asked me if I still was interested in these two, when he just got them he thought they would be worth a lot, as museumpieces or such, but the reality is, they aren’t… It’s mass-produced and I rescue them from the scrapheap, that’s more like it… Anyways, I told him about a year ago I was willing to pay 10 euros each for them and that’s what I payed now…

(pics taken with my phone at my desk at work btw)

...so, what are my plans with these? Well, I’m not gonna tell in detail yet, but I have been inspired by pics from the lo-tech lounge over at C-TRL Labs... Compact Macs as networked 1-bit gaming wonders, something like that … When you have the patience, you’ll see what becomes of this… More on this later…

Oh, my videocard arrived today, more on that later too…

...first I have to finish writing up another project… (it’s about bloody time I post something in my own projectlab, now isn’t it?)
